Even Big Andy thinks these rumors are laughable.
Have you heard the news? Well if you haven't, let me clue you in. Apparently, the Eagles are such football geniuses that they're going to be able to trade a quarterback that has a total of five pass attempts on the season, one yard to show for it on one completion, and five carries for 17 yards.
Oh yeah. Evidently all of the other 31 teams are desperate for this same quarterback who's played a total of two games after sitting out for two seasons and not even picking up a football for two and a half year.
Come on, people. Can we wake up, open the blinds, and maybe say hello to reality?
Michael Vick could eventually turn out to be a weapon for the Eagles this season, but the notion that he's going to get traded to some turn in desperate need of quarterback help and start is nothing short of laughable. Even Vick doesn't think he's ready to start, so there's no way a front office out there thinks he can play.
Well, unless the Raiders want to pursue (allegedly) and get rejected (allegedly) by Vick again.
Would anyone be surprised?
Okay so I don't mean to ramble but really the bottom line to this whole thing is that it's not going to happen. Forget it. Not going to happen. He will not be traded. Come Week Seven, Mike Vick will be a Philadelphia Eagle.
Random tweeter: "are these eagles vick trade rumors true?"
Adam Schefter: "Check back in late February, early March. Then yes."
'Nuff said, Mr. Schefter.
