Jack Ikegwuonu Case is Finally Resolved with a Verdict

Earlier today, Jack Ikegwuonu, a fourth-round selection for the Eagles a couple years back, went on trial for a case several years old, dating back to around his sophomore or junior year in college.

He and his brother were reportedly seen running out of a townhouse with an XBox in hand. The man said that they must have known they were spotted, left the XBox, and took off.

After dragging the case out for this long, the accuser came out and said that he was mistaken and wrong to assume that the Ikegwuonu brothers were the culprits. He said he no longer believed it was them, but would not say why.

A couple months ago, Jack's brother was found not guilty by a jury, as was expected.

For his trial, Jack decided to waive his right to a jury trial, and have the judge act as the deciding force in the case. With his brother being found not guilty in the exact same set of events, Jack and his lawyers were confident that the same verdict would be rendered for him.

They were right, and today Jack Ikegwuonu was found not guilty on all charges, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus' Twitter account.

With all of the legal problems behind him, he can now focus on earning a spot on a team with a whole lot of very good corners.

He will have his work cut out for him, but he should be able to show enough to earn the fifth corner spot.

A couple years ago when he was drafted, he was only drafted as low as he was because he had torn his ACL. All of the draft gurus said that without that he may have been a first-round, or at least first day, selection.
