Alex Smith (left) is the newest addition to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Well, one way or the other, the Eagles have a tight end from New England, and no longer have A.J. Feeley. It's not the way anyone expected, but it happened.
According to Adam Schefter via Twitter, the Eagles agreed to a deal with the former third-round pick today, and now must decide who goes in order to make room for him. This could mean that a trade for one of the Eagles' seven receivers has gone down, or it could mean the end of Tony Curtis.
Either way, the Eagles have some decisions to make on who loses their spot for Smith.
Smith had some solid years in Tampa Bay, but without a real offense surrounding him, he was unable to flourish. He was looked at as a great prospect coming out of college, and the feeling is that he can really produce with a good team surrounding him.
Some more roster moves are sure to come today, and very shortly at that, so keep checking 2M2MG.com for up-to-the-minute news.
